An electric version of the classic '60s Mini Moke is driving into the U.S.

An image portraying a mint-coloured e-Moke parked on a cliff. Caption reads:

For the first time in four decades, MOKE International is releasing a car in the U.S. In the 1960s, the British company's Mini Moke became an instant classic thanks to celebrities like The Beatles, Michael Kane, and Brigitte Bardot. The lightweight, open-top vehicle was first created for military purposes, but was more widely used by surfers and vacationers who enjoyed a bit of breeze while driving.

The new car, the e-Moke, is the first version of a 1960s original vehicle to become fully electric. It will also be the first highway-friendly Mini Moke in the U.S. Need more reasons for a ride?
