Google's Incognito mode for Maps is rolling out on Android this month

Hey spies (and everyone else who wants to keep their privacy reasonably intact), good news: You will soon be able to use Google Maps on your phone in Incognito mode.

Google originally announced the feature during the Google I/O 2019 conference in May, and started testing it earlier this month.

This month, however, the feature will finally launch.

Incognito mode in Maps means that your activity on the phone won't be saved to your Google Account or used to personalize Maps for you.

Coming soon to @googlemaps, when you turn on Incognito mode in Maps, your activity—like the places you search or get directions to—won’t be saved to your Google Account. Just tap from your profile picture to easily turn it on or off#io19 pic.twitter.com/z7GRkkmDbn
